Here at CelebMix, we love introducing you to exciting emerging talent who deserve to be heard worldwide. Under the spotlight today is Just Loud, a captivating cross-genre singer-songwriter who is making waves with his debut EP Episode 1.

Born in Suffolk, Virginia, Just Loud’s adolescence revolved around the church. However, at 15 he was cast away from the church due to his rebellious and inquisitive nature, a move which later inspired him to pursue music.

After moving to New York, Just Loud set out to hone his craft, with his hard work eventually leading to him signing a record deal with Eleven Seven Label Group. Since then, he has been developing his sound and in May he unveiled his debut single to the world, ‘Electrified’.

Produced by Dave “Sluggo” Katz, ‘Electrified’ gave us the first taste of what we could expect from Just Loud. Channelling a unique blend of electro-rock, pop and RnB, the track combines elements of 80’s magic with a modern sound. ‘Electrified’ was also accompanied by a dreamy effervescent visual directed by Max Hliva.

Just last week, Just Loud released his debut EP Episode 1. Made up of four tracks, including ‘Electrified’, the EP is an expressive debut offering from the artist which exudes confidence, individuality and fearless artistry.

Providing an euphoric opening to proceedings, the first track on the EP is ‘Ghost’. A modern take on how people deal with love and loneliness, ‘Ghost’ is a powerful anthem which definitely leaves a great first impression. Next up is ‘Electrified’, which leads into ‘Angels and Demons’, one of Just Loud’s most personal releases as he explores his history with God and the church. Finally, he ends with a haunting cover of Radiohead’s ‘Creep’, which proves to be utterly hypnotic.

There’s no doubt that Just Loud has made a strong statement with his debut EP. Episode 1 is only the first part of his story but after years of holding back, it’s finally time to hear his compelling story. We can’t wait to hear more from him in the near future.
