Palmview High School Teacher Arrested
According to Homeland Security Investigations, a Palmview High School teacher was arrested on December 16 on suspicion of asking more than 50 minors for nude images and videos over the course of three years.
According to information in a federal criminal complaint that ValleyCentral has obtained, Juan Carlos Munoz who is 41 years old, was apprehended by U.S. Homeland Security a few days after the organization had been referred an investigation by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children based on information from investigators in the York County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina.
Palmview High School Teacher Investigation
A 14-year-old "sent nude photographs to a man in Texas, pretending to be a 19-year-old adult male," according to the York County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office carried out an investigation and generated a number of reports that helped them find a phone number. A mobile telephone led authorities to Munoz, authorities said in the complaint.

The High School teacher was mainly arrested on the accusation that he solicited more than 50 minor students for nude photos and videos as we mentioned above.
The criminal complaint claims that Munoz acknowledged soliciting the minor via numerous online media applications for sexually explicit photographs and videos in a post-Miranda interrogation.
According to the complaint, federal agents spoke with Munoz on December 16, 2022, Friday at Palmview High School in Palmview, where he has worked for 14 years as a special education teacher.
La Joya Teacher Arrested
Munoz was taken to the La Joya ISD police station where he was questioned.
Regarding the federal investigation and arrest, La Joya ISD sent a message to the public and media on Monday.
"We are aware that the US Department of Homeland Security has detained a former Palmview teacher. According to information provided to us, La Joya ISD is not a party to this inquiry, the district said in a press statement. "We will keep an eye on the development of this probe. As we continue to deliver Educational Excellence for everyone, the safety of our students and staff remains our top priority.
