Some pageant controversy in tonight’s 2015 Miss Universe show!
On December 20, 2015, the 2015 Miss Universe pageant was held at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, USA, and was presented on the FOX channel. The night started off with 80 contestants and was slowly narrowed down contestant after contestant to just 3 finalists. Miss USA – Olivia Jordan, Miss.Colombia – Ariadna Gutierrez, and Miss Philippines – Pia Wurtzbach.
TV personality Steve Harvey was the host for the night, which was controversial enough being that Donald Trump no longer owns the contest, and he made a fatal error. This fatality rocked the competition. For the first time, a host crowned the wrong winner.
Jordan came in 3rd and Gutierrez thought she had won 1st place for a good 3 minutes before Harvey sheepishly walked over and exclaimed the disastrous news that she in fact had not won, but Wurtzbach had. The crown was then taken from Gutierrez’s head, and awkwardly given over to Wurtzbach, who was shell-shocked. The FOX program ended with a mass amount of crowd booing, and many confused faces.
Miss.Universe’s twitter page took to it and tweeted:
