Monique Samuels has confirmed that she and her husband, Chris Samuels, will be joining the cast of 'Love and Marriage: D.C.'

Au revoir, Andy! It’s no secret that fans have been yearning for Monique and her loving family to return to the small screen. Bravo did extend an invite for Monique to return for Season 6 of RHOP along with a spot on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, but the star turned down both offers and we finally know why. Monique and Chris Samuels will be joining the cast of Love and Marriage: D.C!

In a Feb. 16, 2022, Instagram Live session, Monique finally confirmed to fans that the rumblings about her joining the cast of Love & Marriage: D.C., the spinoff to Love & Marriage: Huntsville, are true.

"Finally, I can talk about it," Monique says. "It was leaked a few weeks back and I couldn't say anything y'all, so finally I can tell y'all. I am going to be part of the amazing cast of Love and Marriage: D.C. baby! I am so excited. This is going to be incredible."

The entrepreneur went on to share that she suffered PTSD from her experience on RHOP. But she noted that Love and Marriage creator, Carlos King, is the only person who could bring her back to reality TV. Carlos, who is the former Real Housewives of Atlanta executive producer, is at the helm with his production company, Kingdom Reign Entertainment.

Carlos later joined the Instagram Live and they both discussed how Monique became part of the D.C. cast.

He explained that after watching Monique's first reality TV effort, he felt the need to reach out because he is a Black man in the business and wanted to show his support. Upon their initial conversation, no mention of Monique joining the franchise was discussed.

Carlos went on to share that once the opportunity came, he wanted to pick a location that could be considered "the Black 90210." And it made sense for Monique to be part of the equation.

"I was like, 'Wait, Monique is in D.C.,'" Carlos said. "I was afraid to call Monique because she said, 'Carlos I'm good on reality TV. So long story short, she was like, 'This could be interesting,' and I said to her that I want this to be organic, so you introduce me to people you want me to talk to."
